Going Down In La La Land

Going down in la la land is about a young guy (Adam) who moves to LA to pursue a career in acting, however the only job he can get is in a gay porn studio.  His boss at this porn studio starts sending him out to famous directors & actors where he was paid to perform sexual acts which he done in an attempt to get his dream job.  Things didn't quite go as expected when he was sent to a closeted actors house where he actually began to fall in love with this actor (John).  He left the porn company to be the John's personal assistant.  However word gets out that an ex gay porn star is working for the John and they are forced to split.  After the separation Adam goes off the rails.

I think this film was really good, you are taken on a journey with the hot main character experiencing all the highs and lows.  Matthew Ludwinski who played Adam was amazing and really showed the characters emotion well.

I would really recommend this film to you all.

Keep The Lights On

Keep the lights on is a romantic drama set in New York and detailed the rocky relationship between 2 guys.  After meeting Erik & Paul they end up in an on-off relationship lasting 8 years.  Paul takes drugs & hires male prostitutes.  Erik is maddly in love with Paul but is out of his depth.

Despite all the graphic sex scenes in this film I was very bored throughout it.  There wasn't enough happening and periods of time with no speech were far to long.  There really needs to be more to keep your attention.

I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry

Starring Adam Sandler and Kevin James this is a mainstream comedy movie as well as gay interest.  This film is about two straight fire fighters who pretend to be gay and enter into a domestic partnership in order to gain legal benefits.  However the the partership is challenged and they are taken to court in an attempt to prove that they aren't gay.  As they start to pretend they are gay all of their collegues sign a petition to try and get rid of them and they all stop speaking to them.  However as the movie goes on everyone starts to realise that there is nothing wrong with being gay.

As funny as the film is I am still unsure whether I should like it or be offended by it.  Parts of the film were really funny but others were not as funny as the writers had intended them to be.  Basically I am unsure how to feel about this film and I leave the decision to you

Make The Yuletide Gay

I was going to review this last year but for some reason after watching the film I never go round to it, so I have just watched the film again to refresh my memory.

This film is about a gay college boy 'Gun' going back into the closet as he goes home for christmas however he gets a surprise when his boyfriend 'Nathan' shows up at his parents house to join him for the holidays.

The fact the Gun is not out the closet causes some strain in the relationship between the two of them until Nathan tries to leave.  However Nathan ends up back before long and there is a little twist at the end.

I found this movie really enjoyable although it was a little bit crazy.  It was full of adult humour and had me laughing constantly and I would really recommend this film at this time of the year.

The trailer does the movie no favours in the slightest but trust me it is a really good film.

House of Boys

Well it's been nearly a year since my last post... (My Bad) however with my new love film subscription hopefully I will be posting more regularly again (Fingers crossed).

I have just finished watching a film called "House of Boys", in the beginning this film is fun and sexy with lots of cute guys dancing about with virtually no clothes on what so ever.  This however doesn't last for long as just as the two main characters Frank & Jake fall in love Jake falls ill and has to go to hospital.  It is later discovered that Jake has AIDS.  Jake then gets progressively worse until you eventually see him pass away with Frank by his side.

This was a very good movie that has left me slightly emotionally confused, with its sudden change from fun and sexy to sad and serious.  I would definitely recommend this movie as a must see.

Make The Yuletide Gay

This films is about an out-and-proud gay college student who goes back into the closet to for the christmas holidays with his family. His parents try to set him up with his high school sweetheart, Abby. But when his boyfriend, Nathan, shows up at their doorstep unannounced he must put on a charade to keep the relationship a secret.

I thought this film was really good, you could tell it was low budget but that just added to it. Hot guys, fantastically funny yet out of this world parents. This film has brilliant humor throughout but t also has quite a touching story behind it too.

I would definately say that this film is a must see for christmas, as always its available from my stores if you wish to buy it.
